First Day of 1st Grade and 3rd Grade

These boys are ready to tackle FIRST and THIRD grade! Still can't believe it. On the first day of school, we decided to drop Cole off in his classroom first, since he was jumping at the chance to leave our side. He wasn't embarrassed just yet, but he couldn't wait to get to his class and see his friends. As he walked the halls, every 10th kid said hello to him. Such a social being. Reid, just held my hand with a cute grin on his face (must I mention that I LOVE when they hold my hand?). The minute we walked into to Cole's class, he told his teacher "Good morning" and walked straight over to his friends. This year, he gets to be in the same class with his 2 best friends. The teachers may regret this arrangement down the road. :) Oh and he feels extra cool this year, because all 4th graders get iPads. Although not in 4th grade, he is taking their Math class which means he gets an iPad… Reid walked in to class with quiet confidence. He looked at his teacher and said "Good morning Mrs. Moore". He walked in front of me as he walked to his locker and I noticed that his neck and ears were bright red. Over the past year, he has done an amazing job of overcoming his fears and doing what needs to be done- like a big boy. I am so proud of him, that it makes me teary eyed!!  Have an amazing year my boys and remember to always make good choices!
Milking the summertime until it's last second.

Let's do this thing!

Mommmmm, no more pictures please!

Cole and Cael. Best friends!

I always have to capture of a picture of them walking away. I love babies and backpacks.

My Reido has a locker and he feels sooo  cool! :)

Mrs. Moore. Tiniest, cutest teacher! She's so sweet and a perfect fit for my little one.

Mrs. Osborn, Cole's 3rd grade Teacher. I like her because she's tough on the kids and expects a lot!  This may or may not be an issue with Cole's talking……………………. :)

"SUMMERize"

It seems like life is getting too busy to blog but I'm really going to try to continue to do so, for our boys. They love to go back over old entries and re-live times by reading and looking at pictures.

In an attempt to catch up, I'll "summerize" our summer with pictures. It was a fun one filled with activities. We literally, had 2 weekends where nothing was planned. Joe and I spent 5 days in Lake Tahoe, California with Mike and Tara.  I didn't realize how beautiful that place would be… or that it would have so many fun activities in the summer. We golfed in the mountains (in one of the most beautiful courses I've ever seen), zip lined from the very top of Heavenly, paddle boarded, ate some tasty meals lakeside and gambled. Great times!

Heavenly gondola. Breathtaking!

These are 2 super cool badasses…. hehe!
Meanwhile, the boys attended their annual Cousin Camp with Nana and Pops. This year, the theme was "Beaches and Fishies 2014" so they ended up in a beach house in Galveston playing in the sand and fishing. Of course, getting spoiled! As soon as we got back from California, we met the boys, Nana, Pops, Mike and Tara down by the river in New Braunfels. We got to take the boys to Schlitterbahn and they loved it! We floated the river once and although the boys had fun, not as much as we would have expected. The rest of the time was spent swimming, kayaking and barbequing in front of our condo. It was a relaxing and fun 4 days!

Our Beach Boys during Cousin Camp 2014. I don't have pictures to prove it,
but they caught 22 Trout while fishing!

A week later, we met the Knotts in Destin, Florida for a week long beach vacation. On our way, we stopped in Houston for 1 night to celebrate my BEAUTIFUL mom's 60th birthday.
My sister and I threw her a little dinner party for 30 of their best friends. Those little Brujas and their husbands are almost family to us. They have been in our lives since we moved to Texas and I enjoy watching how close (and crazy) they are!

This was our 3rd family vacation with the Knotts and just like the previous 2, we had a perfect time! I love the memories that our kids are building together! :)

I am SO LUCKY to have THIS MAN and THIS  WOMAN as my parents!

I love you Mami!

Thankfully, Cooperman got to do a lot of activities!

It's always so easy to catch pensive pictures of this boy admiring the beach.

Dolpins, not sharks! :)
