Cousin Camp 2013 in Pictures

Bruce and Carrie have started an annual tradition with the Rentfro boys, called Cousin Camp. Each year, they will take all 4 boys and spend a week doing fun things and making memories.  The boys had a great time at Cousin Camp! It makes me happy to know that each year, they will get to play with their cousins and spend time with Grandparents and family.  They got to visit with Granny and Papa John (as well as eat her yummy breakfast!). Here are some pictures of some of the things they did!

Surprising My Lovie!

While the kids went to "Cousin Camp" (I'll post those pictures once I get them), I decided to surprise Joe with a trip to Scottsdale, Arizona. I bought the tickets and booked the hotel 2 weeks before we left and somehow managed to keep my mouth shut and not tell him anything until the Friday that we left.  I had to contact his secretary and make sure she didn't schedule anything important for Monday since we were going for a long weekend. She even blocked off the day with a fake "important" meeting. We had such a great time! It was fun, relaxing, and so good to get away alone. We laughed a lot and acted like we did during our college days. Oh and the food was really good too. I love traveling with this man!

This was posted on the shower wall. He thinks I'm crazy 90 % of the time and didn't believe me!!

Taken at Troon North (Scottsdale, AZ) in June 2013.  Yes, babe! This picture  is "posted on the internet!".
Taken at Regatta Bay (Destin, Fl) in April 2002. I remembered this picture (although we have TONS of selfies on golf courses) as I was posting the one above.  I can't believe it was 11 years ago!

Pictures never do things justice. This course was pretty amazing!

I thought this was crazy. The Saguaro (aka cactus, as we learned while we were there) was in the middle of the fairway. It's been hit a time or two...

Lucky # 7

So, our eldest is now lucky #7. Before I know it, I will have a high school kid. Really, it's ok because he has told me that he will let me hold him like a baby until he is 52 years old. He wants me to drive him to college every morning while he lives at home. We'll see how long that lasts, but until then I will dream a little. I want SO bad to keep them both little.

Cole kicked off the summer with straight A's (96 was his lowest grade), the Principal had a conference with me to tell me that he had been tested (and tested) and recommends that he start 3rd grade Math  when he starts 2nd in the Fall, he had a "Rock n' Run" fundraiser, had a birthday party at school and then had his best friend over for pizza, cake and lots of swimming. My parents and sis came in town and as always- spoiled him with TOO many presents! The following weekend, my parents came up and took the boys to a hotel for the weekend while Mommy and Daddy spent time with their friends. I still can't believe that they drove 4.5 hours just to babysit.  It had to have been one of the BEST times that they have ever had with my parents because they talked about it for hours. By hours, I mean - h.o.u.r.s! They went to the Fort Worth Zoo, swam, watched a movie on a big screen at the hotel, ate lots and got more toys! Ridiculous. Mama and Papi simply made his birthday celebration perfect.
LOL! I love how we got photo bombed!

Like previous years, the boys pick out their cakes. This one was for the classroom party

Reid, Cale and Cole

My Cole, 7 years ago I had no idea what your personality would be like, no idea of what you would look like as a little boy and most of all, no idea of the kind of love I would be capable of feeling as your Mommy.  Seven years later, I have the privilege of knowing a bright sun-shiny, full of life and energy, always considerate, with an incredible thirst for knowledge, old soul, brown-eyed, 100% BOY, that has taught me so much about a love I NEVER imagined could be felt by my human heart.  I love you to infinity and beyond. - Mommy

This week, they are attending Vacation Bible School and Friday they leave for "Cousin Camp" with their awesome cousins with Nana and Pops. I know they will love it. Since they are going to be gone for 5 days, I decided to come up with a little something fun for my love and I to do. I bought plane tickets and booked a hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona. We are leaving Friday for a long weekend of golf, relaxation at the spa and pool and maybe a casino. The best part is that he has NO CLUE! None. I have cleared his calendar with his secretary and she plans on making up a reason to reschedule appointments. Today is Monday (won't post this until Friday) and I have 4 days of keeping my mouth shut. WISH ME LUCK! I honestly don't think I can pull this off!!
