FaLaLaLaLa!

We typically spend Christmas Eve with my parents and our family friends. Christmas Day is spent with the Rentfro side of the family.  This year, we had a small change of plans, last minute. My mom caught a virus and had to cancel the party where we would welcome Christmas. All 5 families had to make other plans. Including us. WAH! It definitely was not the same without them.  I'm still missing my fam and can't wait to see them and give them their gifts.   John and Lisa Simmons (Adam's parents) graciously included us in their celebration. We even had the opportunity to watch Parker and Rylee open Christmas gifts on Christmas day. We love that family!
Early Christmas day, we headed to Nana and Pops'. We had brunch and and dinner in company of our family. Needless to say, the boys had a great time especially with their cousins! The day after Christmas, we headed back to Dallas but made a stop at the Polar Express in Palestine. We didn't get home to open Santa's gifts until 9pm or so. I think the boys LOVED that Christmas was a little longer this year.  I can't begin to explain how thankful I am for this life. I love it all.
We came home from Houston for 1.5 days and we are now off to Boerne to see Mike and Tara! We will be there for 2 nights and then off to Austin for 2 nights for Heather and Stevie's wedding on New Years Eve. Can't wait! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Wishing you a prosperous New Year full of health and happiness!

Making cookies for Santa.

Cole's little Christmas tree. Decorated all by himself.

Reid's little tree. It looks like a Mexican Fiesta, but I love it!

Granny and the 4 boys. So sweet!

Nana, Grandma Rentfro and Pops.

I think Reid is starting to lose his shyness...

The Polar Express!

I didn't get my 2 front teeth for Christmas. :)

I live for these reactions.

Recent Miscellaneousness in Pictures

My  VERY lazy attempt to finally get caught up, IF I can stay on-top of this after we return from Christmas and New Years. We will be road trippin' to Houston, Boerne and Austin!

Meet Mike. This is our pet hamster. We had him for 4 days.  He committed a massacre and we returned him to Petco.  He bit Joe and I swear, he lost a pint of blood. I couldn't risk this little guy bitting my other babies.
Joe and I celebrated 10 years of marriage on Nov. 15th. Our Anniversary was more low key than usual without babysitters in town! Joe surprised me with a dozen roses at work and a new setting for my ring.  I felt bad for only buying him a pair of shades…  :- /

How did I get so lucky? I married the most beautiful man. Inside and out!

More pictures by Cole.

This is Chicha. Our Peruvian Guinea Pig. We traded Mike for this sweet girl. She is sweet, never bites and she squeals when she is happy. She won't eat Guinea Pig food and loves lettuce, tangerines, grapes, bananas and peas and corn.

Our tree. It needs my mom's help. Bad. But the boys love it and as long as it's lit, it makes us happy! I love the holidays!

Shadow showed up the day after Thanksgiving. He has been extremely busy this year.

Shadow drew mustaches on the boys with a Sharpie the night before our Ice Days. In the  morning, we went sledding. A guy that was walking his dog, told Reid "Nice mustache little man". Reid's nonchallant response: "Thanks! My Elf did it last night".

We were supposed to go to the Polar Express in Palestine with the Simmons' but had to reschedule due to the weather. We get to go on December 26th on the way back from Houston (we'll be there for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day). The timing is perfect because we'll get home the evening of the 26th to open Santa's presents!

Covered in lots of ICE (not snow). This happened Thursday Dec. 5th. Today is Dec. 22nd, and we still have areas around our house with 4 inches of ice!

School was cancelled for 3 days.  We were not able to leave our house  by car either!

Day 2. Just outside of our backdoor. Joe had to pour boiling water to get the ruler through the ice.

Nana and Pops came to visit us with Annie. Fun times!
We found a new game. Light Bingo. Lots of fun while looking at Christmas lights!

At Frozen 3D!

BINGO!
Wrestling. Guaranteed crying within 15 minutes.

MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!
