Two Week Birthday!

Nana and Pops came to visit us the weekend of Reid's Birthday, making his birthday celebration 2 weeks long! Nana had asked Reid to send her a wish list and 2 of the things on his list were "a clock" and "folder for Pokemon cards".  As you can tell from the pictures, Reid loved these 2 gifts.  We don't get to see our families as often as we used to (10 minutes for both sets of grandparents versus 4.5 hours), so we really enjoy our time together! It makes us appreciate every minute we have together more than ever.  I'm so thankful for such amazing sets of parents that are always willing to make the drive to visit us!

100 Pokemon cards and a "folder".

We love having a puppy around even if it's temporarily.

Cake that Nana and Reid made for his birthday. 3 cakes for your 6th Birthday seems  like a lot! :)

5 + 1 = 6

Our little one turned 6. As a child, I always remember hearing adults say things like "time flies" or "it goes by too fast". At the time, I thought they were crazy because a month felt like a year. It wasn't until I had kids, that I understood.
This year, we gave Reid the option of having a birthday party with friends in Dallas or go to Sea World and a 4 day stay at a resort in San Antonio. Without hesitation, he picked Sea World. On his actual birthday, he had a birthday party at school.  Mama, Papi and my Sister met us in San Antonio on Thursday to begin this 6 year old's celebration! We went back to the Hyatt Wild Oak Ranch for the 3rd time. It's such a great, family friendly resort.  The pool, the slides, golf, Sea World and just running around the resort. AMAZINGLY FUN TIME! According to Reid, this birthday celebration tops the previous 5.

[PICTURES ARE OUT OF ORDER BECAUSE I'M TOO LAZY]

Birthday morning, which fell on a school day. Donut, candle and a Happy Birthday song. We saved most of the gifts for the celebration in San Antonio.

Reid picked this cake for his Kinder party at school. They just love getting to pick the cake. :)
